Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Covid-19: nelle ultime 24 ore in Ontario i ricoveri scendono lievemente, da 639 a 611 (e da 179 a 174 nelle terapie intensive) ma resta alto il numero dei decessi: ieri altre 14 vittime che portano il totale della provincia, da inizio pandemia, a 12.356. La provincia ha inoltre registrato 2.149 nuovi casi di Covid-19 ieri, su un totale di 15.702 test (riservati alle sole categorie “a rischio”) elaborati: il tasso di positività della provincia è di circa il 12%…
TORONTO – Covid-19: in the last 24 hours in Ontario hospitalizations have dropped slightly, from 639 to 611 (and from 179 to 174 in intensive care) but the number of deaths remains high: today another 14 victims bringing the total of the province, from the beginning of the pandemic, to 12,356. TORONTO – 551 Covid-inpatients in hospital, of which 181 (-1) in intensive care: it is the lowest number of hospitalizations in Ontario since the end of December. There were also few deaths today: 4, bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,336. However, the positivity rate goes up, from 12% on Sunday to 13.4% today, based on the 1,217 cases of Covid-19 identified in the last 24 hours through 8,644 tests (limited, we remind you, to the “at risk” categories only ). TORONTO – Covid-19: scende ancora il numero di ricoverati in Ontario, ma resta alto il numero delle vittime: ieri altre 19 che portano il totale da inizio pandemia a 12.307. Ancora oggi, però, non si sa quali decessi, di quelli degli ultimi giorni, siano stati causati dal virus e quali da altre patologie con il virus in compresenza: le autorità sanitarie provinciali non lo hanno specificato, contrariamente a quanto avevano annunciato la scorsa settimana…
TORONTO – Covid-19: the number of hospitalized in Ontario still drops, but the number of victims remains high: today another 19 bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,307. Even today, however, it is not known which deaths, of those in recent days, were caused by the virus and which by other diseases with the virus in coexistence: the provincial health authorities did not specify this, contrary to what they had announced last week.
