TORONTO – In Canada, universities that require masks on campus are in a clear minority. Only fourteen of the 83 universities contacted by The Canadian Press said they will ask students and employees to wear masks on their campuses.
TORONTO – University you go, policy you find. As for the vaccination obligation against Covid-19, each university or college in view of the reopening in September has defined its own guidelines.
TORONTO – Ontario school students will not have to wear masks during the fall semester: the Ministry of Education confirmed it today. The use of protective equipment will be voluntary and masks will be available to students upon request. Rapid tests will also remain available in schools.
The fall semester 2022 will therefore be the first, complete, since the beginning of the pandemic, in which Ontario students will not be forced to wear masks. Unless the situation worsens and the reintroduction of security measures is not necessary. On this, however, the government has not yet expressed itself: the details of a possible “plan B” in the event of an increase in infections are lacking. →
TORONTO – Extending the mask mandate, which was due to expire tomorrow, until June 11 is not enough. The controversy, following the announcement of the Ontario government, was not long in coming because “this decision is not able to mitigate this sixth wave of Covid-19”. More needs to be done, in essence.
TORONTO – Masks yes or masks no? After the easing of restrictions in Ontario no longer require masks in most facilities, the controversy goes crazy. On the one hand there are those who cannot do without the protection guaranteed by masks, on the other hand those who could not wait to get rid of them, and to wear them, now that the government has removed the obligation, do not want to hear about them. And so while Uber Canada will no longer require customers to use them starting Friday, Toronto-based taxi company Beck Taxi has decided to continue to impose their use.
