Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

TORONTO – May 11, 2021: Canada stood yesterday at 1,297,395 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 3,209 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 24,706 total deaths, 24 more than on Monday. In Canada yesterday the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,194,022. Ontario yesterday reached 497,092 overall positives, an increase of 2,073 new cases compared to Monday, the lowest number of new since last March 24. The total number of victims in Ontario has meanwhile risen to 8,342, with 15 more deaths than the previous day. →

The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 24,655 total deaths, 29 more than on Sunday. In Canada yesterday the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,185,720. →

The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 24,624 total deaths, 56 more than on Saturday. In Canada yesterday the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,179,445. →

The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 24,448 total deaths, 52 more than on Tuesday. In Canada yesterday the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,148,353. →
