Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
OTTAWA – Ottawa is unable to get out of the stalemate that’s entering on its thirteenth day. The hard core of the truck drivers of the “Freedom Convoy” has no intention of leaving the capital where the state of emergency remains in force. A protest demonstration that initially did not seem to create other problems besides the inevitable inconveniences, has become a nightmare for the inhabitants and law enforcement in the first place.
Both 1972 and current Bangladesh Constitution has outlined the forming of Election Commission in a barely written 2-3 pages with 9 articles within 118-126, where 118 (1) says that, “There shall be an Election Commission for Bangladesh…, subject to the provisions of any law made in that behalf, be made by the President.”

TORONTO – Fewer tampons, fewer cases. The drop in new infections recorded today, 887 against 1,184 on Sunday, bodes well for only a few seconds: the time to look at the number of tests performed, that is 25,981 against 31,735 on Sunday. The positivity rate, in fact, rises from 3.2% to 3.5% in twenty-four hours and the moving average of daily cases calculated over seven days is now equal to 940, an increase both compared to today (926) and compared to as of a week ago (783). Three deaths were also recorded today, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in Ontario to 10,027. →
