Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
Parents expect their children to be in a safe school learning environment. For more than 25 years, the School Resource Officer program (SRO)/School Liaison Officer program at the Halton Catholic School Board (HCDSB) has offered an opportunity to encourage a safe, orderly and welcoming environment for student well-being and achievement.
However, that program may cease to exist, even before essential data is collected and assessed to determine whether the program has fulfilled its mandate. →

TORONTO – Before the heavy snowfall of November 28th this year, there was added noise that Torontonians were dealing with – leaf blowers. As if the construction noise and ambulance/fire truck/ police cruiser sirens were not enough, leaf blowers have added to the deafening noise of the city. →
In a week apart both China and the United States of America have launched “Democracy” conferences. Apparently not invited to President Biden’s democracy summit; China had its propaganda blitz.
