Ontario, Covid-19 cases and positivity are still dropping

TORONTO – 328 infections today, 373 Monday, 443 Sunday: the descent of the Covid-19 infections in Ontario continues. And the positivity rate drops: today 20,800 tests were processed against 20,432 on Monday and the positivity fell further from 1.8% to 1.5%. Ontario: 417 new Covid-cases but the positivity rate drops

TORONTO – Covid-19 in Ontario: 417 new cases today, a slight increase compared to the previous day (306) but also below the seven-day average. In addition, 35,421 tests were processed in the previous 24 hours (and another 18,914 are being processed), while yesterday there were far fewer: 23,219. Alberta, infections in 756 schools and 8.27% positivity

EDMONTON – 1,263 cases of Covid-19 and 26 deaths in just twenty-four hours and infections in 756 schools: few numbers that give a good idea of ​​how serious the situation in Alberta is. Ontario, the positivity rate drops again

TORONTO – Ontario health officials today reported 476 new cases of Covid-19 and 14 deaths. The contagion count comes after 429 new infections were recorded in Ontario on Tuesday, 511 on Monday, 580 on Sunday and 704 on Saturday. Ontario’s seven-day moving average is now 573, down from last week’s 610, and is steadily declining. But the good news is another: 39,460 tests were processed today, so many more than Tuesday (when there were 25,441), but despite this the cases remain well below 500, so the positivity rate still falls, from 1.8 percent to 1.7 percent.  (more…)
