Election day (June 2) is one week away. This past month, party leaders have been criss-crossing the province sharing their platforms with the aim of building support for their political party. Meanwhile, candidates representing each political party have been doing much of the same within their local communities and constituencies.
TORONTO – The Carpenters District Council of Ontario announces that a Tentative Agreement in the ICI sector (Industrial Commercial Institutional) has been reached with the various Employer Bargaining Agencies in the province of Ontario.
John Tory announced this Wednesday (June 23) the launch of Toronto Youth Vaccine Engagement Strategy, a partnership between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Youth Cabinet (TYC). In a press release, the Mayor of Toronto said that since Ontario extended eligibility to residents over 12 years of age, “we’ve seen an impressive response to youth vaccination”.
TORONTO – A global minimum corporate tax rate of at least 15 percent but without giving up the new taxes provided for the tech giants. Canada welcomes the agreement reached at the G7 but at the same time, through Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, reiterates that the plan signed at the weekend will not change Ottawa’s plans, which from January 2022 will impose a new tax on big tech buddies.
