THUNDER BAY —Communities across Canada are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and need immediate assistance to ensure their public infrastructure is safe and reliable. A new research program will distribute 50,000 free HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) self-testing kits across Canada to reach people who are undiagnosed and get them connected to care, with the goal of identifying factors that affect access to testing and care and ultimately, ending Canada’s HIV epidemic.
Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, will be joined by Matthew Anderson, President and CEO of Ontario Health, to make an announcement.
