Covid restrictions, government at the crossroads on reopening the economy

TORONTO – Start with a gradual process of reopening the economy or move forward with the harsh anti-Covid restrictions? This is the crux of the matter that the provincial government will have to untie in the coming days, in view of the expiry of the current obligation to stay at home – which ends in Ontario on May 20 – and the parallel long list of restrictive measures put in place in April to cope with the surge in cases. Travel watch update, restrictions and current global requirements:

International travel destinations to which safe travel is allowed changes frequently; therefore, passengers leaving Canada should double-check their travel plans with the U.S. Embassy or the Canadian Government, as well as their preferred airline.

The Canadian government has strongly discouraged non-essential travel.  However, passengers who must travel or are planning a future trip later this year and in 2022 should seek the advice of a certified travel agent.
