OTTAWA – No longer with trucks but with Canadian flags and signs against the vaccination obligation. In the air only a chorus of voices singing O Canada. A group of no vax and no mask protesters returned to Ottawa on Saturday to reiterate their position and protest against the government.
TORONTO – Worrying surge in Covid-19 cases in Ontario where the highest daily number of new infections in almost a month was recorded today: 636, compared to 508 cases on Saturday and 563 on Friday. The last time Ontario’s daily total exceeded 600 was on October 9th. →
TORONTO – 378 new cases today, compared to 331 on Tuesday and 321 on Wednesday last week. The seesaw of infections continues and raises the seven-day moving average which now stands at 379, up from the 366 daily cases of last Wednesday. →
A familiar face returns to the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB). At a Special Board Meeting on October 4, Frank S.D. Alexander will be officially commissioned by the YCDSB as a Trustee for Markham Area 2. His appointment to the position follows a 6-week application/vetting process to fill the vacancy left by former Trustee, James Ecker.
