NEW YORK – “The Power of One”. It is a great exhibit commemorating individuals who, by their strength of character and personal resolve, have made a difference in the spread of human rights and global peace.
TORONTO – “Once a Madonna girl always a Madonna girl”. It would seem an obvious conclusion to draw, if the only students at the school are biological females – irrespective of race or ethnic origin.
TORONTO – The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) made a call about “monkeypox”, asking to protect and uphold human rights during the outbreak. In a statement, OHRC writes that “as the world grapples with the ongoing “monkeypox” outbreak, several very concerning human rights issues have been exposed”.
TORONTO – Like everyone else, I will be watching for details in the upcoming budget; sorry, I meant the “costed” election platform to be presented by the current government. I will be looking for transparency and disregarding rhetoric. No, it will not be driven by partisanship but by purely selfish [legitimate] desires to protect my assets (such as they are) – home and pension.
OTTAWA – For 2 decades, Canadians have worked side by side with Afghan nationals to improve security, democracy and human rights in Afghanistan. Now Canada is welcoming people who face risks as a result of this vitally important work.
