Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Come avevamo preannunciato su queste pagine mesi fa, dopo il tutto esaurito a Montreal, sabato scorso è finalmente arrivato a Toronto lo spettacolo “So I Married a Mangiacake”, scritto e interpretato da Guido Cocomello, diretto da Tony Calabretta e prodotto da Sal Ciolfi per Amor Fati Productions. Come teatro per questo ’one-man show’ sui rapporti tra italo-canadesi e ’mangiacake’ si è scelto, molto appropriatamente, il palco del Royal, nel cuore della Little Italy torontina…
LOS ANGELES – Guido Cocomello, italo-canadese nato e cresciuto a Montreal, è un comico e attore cinematografico (lo si può vedere tra l’altro in “Being the Ricardos” di Aaron Sorkin, con Nicole Kidman, disponibile proprio da oggi su Prime Video). Il suo ultimo lavoro è un one-man show in lingua inglese, da lui interamente scritto e recitato: “So I married a mangiacake”…
