TORONTO – The “swing” of Covid hospitalizations continues: one day they drop, the next day they increase, and so on. Today in Ontario is the day of the decline: from the 1,734 yesterday to the 1,661 today. 202 patients in intensive care compared to 211 on Wednesday. The positive note is that there is a constant good data (at least so far) and it is that of the decline in active and known cases: today 31,464 against 31,675 on Wednesday (32,747 on Tuesday, 33,905 on Monday and 34,520 on Sunday). TORONTO – The number of infected patients in Ontario hospitals continues to grow: today it rose to 1,730 from 1,455 twenty-four hours earlier. The total number of people admitted to intensive care is stable: 219. Tuesday’s report therefore marks an increase of 275 patients overall in a single day. (more…)
TORONTO – Covid-19: the number of hospitalized in Ontario still drops, but the number of victims remains high: today another 19 bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,307. Even today, however, it is not known which deaths, of those in recent days, were caused by the virus and which by other diseases with the virus in coexistence: the provincial health authorities did not specify this, contrary to what they had announced last week. TORONTO – The number of hospitalizations for or with Covid-19 in Ontario remains below 700 for the second in a row and intensive care hospitalizations are left below 250: today there were 693 patients in hospital – in ordinary wards – with coronavirus, against the 684 on Sunday, the ICU went from 247 to 249. Small increases, while some are still due to the fact that hospitals do not update the data over the weekend. The downward trend in hospitalizations in Ontario is therefore confirmed, despite the slight increases. (more…)
