Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – The guidelines outlined by Ontario to deal with Covid in the province’s public schools are not enough. Dissatisfied with the protocols, which will be implemented with the start of the new school year, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has decided to do it itself and has drawn up a series of guidelines. TORONTO – There are just over three weeks left before the start of the new school year. Another year that will begin with the specter of the pandemic. Just in view of the return to school of the boys, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), illustrated at Highland Heights Junior Public School how it is preparing in terms of ventilation and safety measures. The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), on the other hand, has so far not made public any measures that will be adopted from September in its schools. Parents who have decided to let their children attend school in the presence of their children are still in the dark. As are students and teachers. (more…)

TORONTO – The silent majority would seem to no longer wish to stay silent. On May 21, 2021, the Supreme Court of Canada (SCC) rendered a unanimous decision reaffirming the Constitutional rights of voluntary religious organizations to be free from the interference of the state on matters of doctrine and dogma. TORONTO – As organizations, Catholic school boards have a specific Constitutional role to play in Canadian society. The one in Toronto seems to be obsessed with things sexual, be they substantive issues like curricula or symbolic ones like flag-waving. (more…)
