Ontario and Quebec, new Covid-19 cases down today

TORONTO – The number of new cases in Ontario continues to decrease: today 610, down from 715 on Sunday, although up from 600 a week ago. The seven-day moving average of new infections is now 711, down four units from last Monday and, with 23,864 tests processed in the past 24 hours (Sunday was 29,906), the provincial-level positivity rate is now 2.7%, down from 3.1% last Monday. 

Covid-19, today 865 cases in Ontario: never so many in three months

TORONTO – It is necessary to go back until June 4th to find a bulletin of the daily cases of Covid-19 in Ontario that reports more than 850 infections: then the cases were 914. Today, in Ontario, we have not reached at that figure but we are close to it: 865 new infections in twenty-four hours, just now that the provincial health officials have been experiencing fewer than 700 infections for three days. 

Ontario, cases continue to rise: today nearly 700

TORONTO – The escalation continues: after the 486 cases on Tuesday and 660 on Wednesday, Ontario today recorded 678 new cases of Covid-19, of which 395 were found in unvaccinated people, 82 in partially vaccinated people and 141 in people fully vaccinated (for the remaining people the vaccination status is unknown). Of the new cases, 144 were recorded in Toronto, 102 in the Peel region, 97 in the York region, 78 in Windsor-Essex and 51 in the Durham region. All other local health units reported fewer than 50 new cases.
