Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – New decline in Covid-19 hospital admissions in Ontario: from 847 patients on Wednesday, they dropped to 834 today, the lowest number since last December 29, when the number of hospitalized patients was 726. Attendance in intensive care also falls: today 267, yesterday 278. However, the number of victims remains high: today another 19 people died from or with Covid-19. Now the total deaths in Ontario, since the start of the pandemic, are 12,497. (more…)
TORONTO – There is no sign of stopping the massacre that Covid-19 is waging both in Ontario and in much of the rest of Canada: today the tragic “count” of the total deaths were added by another 75 that bring the total of the province, from start of the pandemic, at 11,651. (more…)
TORONTO – In Ontario, we are entering the most delicate phase of this long, exhausting, never-ending battle against Covid-19. Virologists and experts point out that how the exit from the third wave will lay the foundations for the developments of the pandemic.
