Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – The number of patients in Ontario hospitals for Covid-19 drops below 2,000: it is the first time since the beginning of January. But there are still many deaths: another 44 today, bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 11,988. However, the drop in hospitalized patients is substantial: at the moment, there are 1,897, therefore 162 fewer than yesterday.

La conferma arriva da uno studio – il primissimo del suo genere in Ontario – nel quale vengono catalogati tutti i casi di Covid-19 in provincia registrati dal 14 dicembre 2020 al 14 novembre 2021. In questo arco di tempo, stando al rapporto di Public Health Ontario, su 11 milioni circa di persone totalmente vaccinate si sono registrati 17.596 contagi: il vaccino non ha solo rappresentato una prima barriera contro il contagio, ma è stato efficace sul fronte ospedalizzazioni e ricoveri in terapia intensiva…

TORONTO – Covid-19, twelve deaths in the last twenty-four hours: among the deads, even a very young person, under the age of 20, in the Windsor-Essex area (this is the only detail provided by the Ministry of Health of the Ontario). “We extend our deepest condolences to their family,” said Ministry spokeswoman Alexandra Hilkene. “Out of respect for the family and their privacy at this difficult time, we will not share further details of the case at this time.” The analysis of today’s data relating to the pandemic in Ontario opens with this tragic news.
