Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – The new ranking of the “best” universities in the world (we’ll explain the quotation marks later) has been released and McGill University’s primacy in Canada stands out over the University of Toronto: in fact, the Montreal-based university is in 31st place in the ranking world, Toronto at 34th.
TORONTO – In Canada, universities that require masks on campus are in a clear minority. Only fourteen of the 83 universities contacted by The Canadian Press said they will ask students and employees to wear masks on their campuses.
TORONTO – When it comes to pursuing post secondary education, typically, most people focus on academics. However, campus life and the world beyond also factor into one’s choice in their post secondary education journey. For many, it may also mean moving to a new city or town. With that in mind, Mississauga, comes in as one of the top ten university cities in Canada.
The Dhaka University celebrates its centenary this year as it opened its doors on July 1, 1921. Its patrons particularly, Nawab Sir Khwaja Salimullah by donating 600 acres of land, steered the new institution with Oxford University’s academic model of a residential institution where the students would primarily live in the campus.
