Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

Of the cumulative total number of cases, 81.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 143, bringing the total number of fatalities to 137,295.

On Tuesday, health officials in Greece logged 2,976 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 666 thousand. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 93.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 35, bringing the total number of fatalities to 14,991.
Globally, over 235 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 213 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.8 million worldwide.
The Philippines have not reported any Covid-related fatalities on October 5, 2021.
