Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Maybe they just wanted to be nice and affectionately greet the employees’ return to the office after months and months of smart working. But the workers didn’t like those signs that appeared in a building in downtown Toronto and the company was forced to remove them. “Oxford Properties” had placed signs in the lobby of the building, located at 20 Bay Street, with the words “Seriously, we missed you”, “Miss your sweatpants yet?”, “Bet your dog’s missing you” (in the pic above). ORLANDO (Florida) – Patriotism and national pride at the center of the meeting, which took place in Orlando, in the weekend, between the President of the ECR (Party of European Conservatives) and Fratelli d’Italia, Giorgia Meloni – invited by the CPAC to participate as speaker at the largest convention of American Conservatives and Republicans – and the exponents of the Italian-American community.

TORONTO – In Ontario, we are entering the most delicate phase of this long, exhausting, never-ending battle against Covid-19. Virologists and experts point out that how the exit from the third wave will lay the foundations for the developments of the pandemic. TORONTO – I stopped in a Dollar Store to pick up two cards: one, a birthday, the other, a Mothers’ day – both for the same person. Most of the store was dutifully sectioned off, even the card rack. I picked up the two cards anyway and proceeded to pay. (more…)
