TORONTO – Youth spread human rights awareness at Youth Day’s 17th Annual Festival at Yonge-Dundas Square promoting human rights education, more specifically, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Lower case counts, improvements in key health indicators and higher vaccination rates are the basis for the easing of further restrictions. That is what is driving the momentum in the province’s “Roadmap to Reopen”. To further that agenda, starting July 5 at 8am, youth aged 12-17 can book an accelerated second dose vaccine appointment.

John Tory announced this Wednesday (June 23) the launch of Toronto Youth Vaccine Engagement Strategy, a partnership between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Youth Cabinet (TYC). In a press release, the Mayor of Toronto said that since Ontario extended eligibility to residents over 12 years of age, “we’ve seen an impressive response to youth vaccination”.
