The appeal of a Russian girl
rekindles hopes for Denise,
missing for sixteen years
[GTranslate]MAZARA DEL VALLO (Trapani) – Sixteen years ago an Italian mother, Piera Maggio, denounced the disappearance of her four-year-old daughter: Denise Pipitone, who vanished into thin air while playing in front of her house in Mazara del Vallo, in the Trapani area, in Sicily. Today, the appeal of a Russian girl who is looking for her family rekindles hope: she is Olesya Rostova, 20 years old.
The young woman launched an appeal on Russian TV, saying that she was kidnapped as a child and was found, when she was just five years old (in 2005) in a station in the company of a nomad: she was then entrusted to an orphanage and today is looking for her family. And the Italian television program “Chi l’ha visto?”, which deals with cases of missing persons, re-launched her appeal a few days ago, hosting in the studio Piera Maggio, Denise’s mother, whose resemblance to Olesya is striking (in the photos above, clockwise from left: the Russian girl, Denise Pipitone shortly before the disappearance and Piera Maggio).
The personal data would also coincide and therefore now there is great expectation for the outcome of the DNA test to which Olesya would have already undergone.
“In recent years we have seen many sightings and reports – Giacomo Frazzitta, Piera Maggio’s lawyer, told the Adnkronos news agency -. This time, however, we are following a different path, we have not started the bureaucratic, judicial and international channels. There is a more direct contact and we hope to be able to get there sooner than those channels “. Maybe already on the weekend.
